Privacy Policy

This policy explains how VoxaType handles information across voxatype.com — including the free web tools like Audio to Text — and the VoxaType Android app.
Audio and files you upload
When you use a web tool like Audio to Text, the file you upload is sent to our backend and forwarded directly to our speech recognition provider for transcription. Our backend processes the file in memory only — it is never written to disk or stored in a database — and is discarded once the transcript is returned. We do not keep a copy of your audio.
Transcripts
The resulting transcript is returned to your browser and stays in the web page's memory only. It is not saved to any server or account. If you refresh or close the tab before copying or downloading it, it is gone — we have no copy to recover it from. Downloading a transcript saves a file to your own device using your browser; we never see that file.
Processing providers
Audio is processed by GroqCloud to produce a transcript. Groq states that inference inputs and outputs are not retained by default, but may be temporarily logged for reliability or abuse monitoring for up to 30 days. Usage metadata that does not contain your audio or transcript may be retained by the provider under their own policies.
Technical and abuse-prevention data
To keep the free tools usable and prevent abuse, our backend temporarily tracks request counts by IP address to apply rate limits. This is held in server memory, not a database, and is not linked to your audio or transcript content.
Analytics
We track basic product events — such as a tool being opened, a transcription completing or failing, or a transcript being copied or downloaded — to understand which tools are useful. These events do not include your audio or transcript content.
The Android app
The VoxaType Android app has its own in-app privacy disclosures covering microphone access, the accessibility service, and on-device dictation history — available in the app's Settings and Play Store listing.
Security and sensitive content
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please don't upload audio containing passwords, authentication codes, payment details, health records, or other highly sensitive information, and only upload content you have the right to transcribe.
Children
VoxaType is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Because we don't retain your audio or transcripts, there is nothing server-side to request deletion of after a request completes. For privacy questions, contact milanjakhotra1234@gmail.com.
Changes
We may update this policy as VoxaType changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
