Up to 20,000 characters. SRT and VTT exports work as-is.

Timestamps, cue numbers, filler words and false starts are removed, punctuation and capitalization added.

  3. 3

    Copy or download

The cleaned transcript, ready to use.

Why use it

Strips timestamps and cue numbers

Paste an SRT, VTT, or Zoom export straight in — the timing scaffolding goes, the words stay.

Removes disfluencies, not content

Filler words and false starts go — the actual wording stays exactly as spoken.

Keeps speaker labels only when they mean something

Two or more speakers: labels stay, tidied to a consistent form. One speaker: the label goes.

Nothing is kept afterward

Your transcript is discarded the moment the result comes back.

Who it's for

  • Raw auto-transcripts — Clean up the output of Audio to Text before sharing it.
  • Subtitle files — Turn an SRT or VTT export into readable prose without the timings.
  • Meeting transcripts — Make a raw Zoom or Teams transcript presentable without rewriting it.

Example

A raw transcript export

Input

1 00:01:12,400 --> 00:01:18,900 Speaker 1: so um yeah I think uh we should probably go with option two um because it's cheaper

Output

So, I think we should probably go with option two because it's cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

Does it remove timestamps?

Yes. Timestamps in any common form are stripped — [00:01:23], (1:23), SRT ranges like 00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:04,000, a bare time at the start of a line, plus subtitle cue numbers and the WEBVTT header. You can paste an SRT or VTT file straight in and get readable prose back.

What happens to speaker labels?

It depends on whether they carry information. If two or more distinct speakers appear, the labels stay and are tidied into a consistent "Name:" form at the start of each turn — losing them would destroy who said what. If the whole transcript is one speaker, the repeated label is dropped.

Does this rephrase or shorten anything?

No — it removes filler words and false starts, and adds punctuation and capitalization where missing. Every other word stays exactly as spoken.

How is this different from Rewrite Transcript?

Transcript Cleaner only removes disfluencies and fixes punctuation. Rewrite Transcript goes further and restructures rambling or repetitive sentences into clearer prose.

Is it free?

Yes. It's free with no account required, limited to a fair-use number of requests per hour.

What's the length limit?

Up to 20,000 characters per request on the free tier.

Is my transcript stored anywhere?

No. It's processed in memory and discarded immediately after — never written to disk or a database.
